Journal’s basic information
ABCD (ARQUIVOS BRASILEIROS de CIRURGIA DIGESTIVA - Brazilian Archives of Digestive Surgery) is a quarterly periodical with a single annual volume and official organ of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD), and its mission is to publish articles on clinical and experimental studies that contribute to the development of research, teaching and assistance in the surgical and clinical gastroenterology and other related areas. Its main sections are original articles, review or update articles, opinion articles (by invitation) and letters to the editor. Other sections may exist depending on the journal's interest or the need to disseminate relevant topics that are not included in the aforementioned forms.
The journal's abbreviated title is ABCD: Arq Bras Cir Dig., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic legends.
