Visual abstract

Every article gains a visual abstract on the journal website — the image that circulates on social media and in slide decks. It answers three questions in about five seconds: why the study was done, what was done and what was found.

The ABCD template, the palettes and the icon bank are there to save you time — they are suggestions, not requirements. A simpler figure, with one illustration and one sentence in plain language, often travels further than a dense one.
